There are not a lot of major differences between the 2 different phones. We have collated all the differences we've noticed and heard about below.
- Slight design change - the back of the S23 is completely flat and smooth, whereas the S22 had a slightly raised platform around the cameras. There are also different colour options available for the phones.
- Camera - The Selfie Camera has gone from 10MP to 12MP with the S23. According to Samsung, they have improved its Nightography low-light mode, letting you take vibrant and crispy photos and videos during the night. They've also added new features like astro hyperlapse mode for capturing the stars in the night sky over a prolonged period of time.
- Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Chip - With the upgraded powerful chip, you can expect a higher performance. The S22 was launched with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 in the US and the Exynos 2200 chip to all other countries which is inferior to the Snapdragon. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is available for all countries and it has been specifically optimised for the Galaxy phone.
