5 Ways to Fix Your Broken Bluetooth or Wifi Connection

With most devices nowadays connected by Bluetooth or wifi, such as your wireless earbuds, your keyboard and mouse, having a broken Bluetooth or Wifi connection can be considered a nightmare.

There's never a good time for your wireless tech or internet to fail, but yet it still does, especially during the most crucial times too!

If you're experiencing this unlucky problem, here are 5 ways you can fix your broken Bluetooth or Wifi connection.

  1. Reboot

It could be due to the device’s software crashing. First, try to reboot your phone by holding the power button and home button together for at least 10 seconds.

  1. Wifi/Bluetooth signal cable replacement

If the signal cable is damaged it could cause this issue. You can solve the problem by replacing this part.

  1. Restore its setting

If the problem continues after the reboot, it is necessary to restore the device’s settings. Follow these steps:

Settings > General > Reset > Reset all settings

This is the process to initialising all settings of the device. This means that the settings information stored in the device will be reset to the initial settings. Data such as contacts, photos and apps will remain intact.

  1. Restore device

The next option is to restore your device to factory settings. There are 2 ways to restoring your device. If your device is still working, please follow the following steps:

Setting > General > Reset > Erase all content and settings. This is the process of restoring your device to factory settings. WARNING – this will erase everything on your phone. Only do this if you have just backed up your phone.

If you want to restore via iTunes, do the following steps:

Connect your device to iTunes.

Turn off your device.

Hold the power button and home button together until you see the iTunes icon.

Now, you can find an iPhone in recovery mode on your computer.

Click to restore (do not disconnect the iPhone before finishing the installation of new firmware)

  1. Mainboard damage

Another possibility is mainboard damage.

Q: What is the mainboard?

A: The mainboard (motherboard) is the core part of the hardware and controls all functions of the phone. Every part of the phone with a function is connected to this mainboard.

Q: How can the mainboard gets damaged?

A: The mainboard can get damaged from shocks (drops), dropping into water or even from pressure. It can also be caused by charging with a poor quality charger/cable. Damage to the mainboard can arise even if there is no physical damage.

Q: What happens when the mainboard is damaged?

A: As the mainboard is the core part of the device, once it’s damaged, it can make functions play up. The functions affected depend on the location of the damage.

Q: How do I know if the signal problem is caused by damage to the parts (wifi/bluetooth signal cable) or mainboard?

A: There is no way to physically find out if the mainboard got damaged or not unless you test the device with a new part and see if it is working or not. With this matter, we can help you through a quick inspection and can tell you if it will be solved by replacing the part or not.

Q: What should I do if it is a mainboard damage?

A: If it’s a mainboard issue, don’t worry. We can fix this issue at Happytel. Most wifi/bluetooth problems arising from mainboard are related to its wifi/bluetooth chip. This can be repaired by micro soldering in our Happytel Head office. Our success rate for this procedure is 85%.

Dynamic Island - is this Apple’s most game-changing feature yet?

Prior to the announcement of Apple’s latest iPhone model, the iPhone 14, there were many rumours that Apple will be phasing out the notch design on the top of their iPhones, similar to what we see on most Android phones.  However, those rumours were not as accurate as what we expected - Apple did remove the notch design on their latest iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max models, but they redesigned it to be a cutout design that Apple calls as “Dynamic Island”. This new component can morph into different shapes and sizes, depending on various situations, creating an entirely new...
