How do I fix a bent or dented phone?

Have you ever accidently sat down with your phone still in the pocket of your jeans, and only to find out that you've accidently dented or bent your phone whilst sitting down? Fear not, you're the not the only one to experience it.

It may definitely look alarming and the first question you may think of is "How do I unbend my phone" or "How do I fix a dent on my phone?". You may think undoing the bend or dent is as easy as your ABCs, but it's not as simple as that.

A bent phone usually translates to the phone's frame being contorted and is a relatively common situation for phones with an aluminium or plastic frame. This is similar to having a dent on your phone and would require a change in frame.

However, changing a phone's frame is something that is not recommended to do at home, even if you have a basic phone repair kit. This is because it requires dismantling all of your phone's components from the bent frame and transferring it to a new one. It's a risky business that takes immense time, professionalism and a whole lot of experience to complete.

Trying to straighten your bent phone or replacing the phone's housing on your own can cause not only further damage, but also expensive damage which is why it's advised that a repair professional undertake the job.

At Happytel, you can get your phone's housing and other components replaced. Find your nearest Happytel store here or book a repair service online here
